Ohio Insider: Updated Class of 2019 Player Rankings (December)

All throughout the year we have had our eyes on the 2019 class, we covered the OHSAA High School season in the spring, held numerous showcases/events and covered many tournaments across the state in the summer, fall and winter. These proved valuable for many 2019 prospects, with many names coming off the board to some of the top programs around the nation.

Below we will take a look at “The Risers”, “College Coaches Need To Circle Back To”, "Sleeper Prospects", "The Newcomers" and some of the top uncommitted prospects by position.

Cameron Burford RHP / 3B / Walsh Jesuit, OH / 2019

Report: Dayton commit Cameron Burford's stock is on the rise after a strong offseason spent on development. Burford already had shown to be a high ceiling arm with a 6-foot-4, long limbed frame and a fastball that touched 87 mph. Now he has shown the athleticism to make changes in a delivery which has translated to more velocity. The right-hander has spent the off-season working with the guys at Prospect Performance Academy in Aurora and now features a fastball that has been up to 91 mph with signs of still more in there.
