With rankings updates comes changes. While the 2024 class is not expanding in terms of number of players ranked, we have some significant movement inside of the Top 250. Today we begin our look at rankings with the Top 100 of the 2024 class.

The major change to the VA/DC 2024 class comes in the way of a new #1. Griffin Burkholder (West Virginia) moves in to the top spot in the class after a breakout summer and continuing his surge through the fall. Burkholder has elite speed, turning out a 6.29 60, 1.56 10 yard split, and getting up to 22.2 mph Max Speed. Above average arm strength in the outfield and has shown some flashes of power to make him a three-plus tool player with a chance to stay in centerfield. His positional value and loud tools have been the biggest contributors in his rise to the top of the class.

While he only moved up three spots, ECU commit Alex Peltier made a climb up to #11 from the fourteenth spot after a solid summer and strong showing at the Mid-Atlantic Procase. 6.6 runner, heavy barrel, and advanced arm strength. Long and lean frame with proportional strength and we believe his best years are in front of him. The quality of in game contact can be inconsistent at times, but the bat to ball is solid and his run tool allows the offense some time to develop in terms of impact rate. Peltier and fellow Top 15 teammate, Jackson Sirois, should be two close follows this spring for Paul VI.

Jack Feehery climbs into the Top 25 from the #28 spot. The recent Duke commit continues to display his uniqueness on the mound, working in the mid-upper 80's from a low three-quarter and spinning it at a high level. The breaking ball is the separator for the Gonzaga left hander. He can throw it for strikes, gets around fifteen inches of horizontal movement, as well as six to seven inches of depth on the pitch.
