With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Edgewood Cougars

Team Name: Edgewood Cougars
Head Coach: Ralph Lunsford
Division: I
2023 Record: 11-16
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectionals loss to St. Xavier
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 9/7

Coach Outlook: "We are extremely young again, but we are bringing some experience despite being very young in age. We had a tremendous off season, and our work ethic has been very good as well. Overall I am cautiously optimistic."

2024 Team Strengths:

  • We have a lot of young returners, that saw a lot of innings last year. Overall speed should be an asset and we should improve on our fielding. We should be ok on the mound. We have to learn to compete for the entire game, and eliminate the big innings.
