With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds

Team Name: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds
Head Coach: John Schnieders
Division: IV
2023 Record: 10-13
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectionals loss to Ft. Recovery
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/4

Coach Outlook: "We have an opportunity to advance in the tournament with two seniors who are 2x 1st Team all district performers (Billy Bourk and Carson Parker). Overall our roster is young, with 14 of our 18 players being underclassmen. The development of those young players throughout the season will be the key to whether we are ready to compete with the teams in a very competitive district. Many of our guys are on a highly ranked basketball team, so if a deep tournament run in March occurs, it may delay our progress a little early in the baseball season."
