With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Newton Indians

Team Name: Newton Indians
Head Coach: Jordan Kopp
Division: IV
2023 Record: 20-9
2023 Tourney Finish: District Semifinals loss to Russia
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2

Coach Outlook: "We are excited to get back on the field after a successful 2023 campaign. We have a very challenging schedule, starting our season in Florida and then jumping right into league play once we get back to Ohio. We will be a fairly young team this year starting 3-4 sophomores and only 2 seniors on the roster. We return a majority of our offensive production from last year but lose 2 of our top 3 arms. We hope to compete for a conference title and be playing our best baseball come tournament time."
