With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. 2024 Spring Team Preview: Rittman Indians

Team Name: Rittman Indians
Head Coach: Joe Staley
Division: III
2023 Record: 12-15
2023 Tourney Finish: District Semifinals loss to Hillsdale
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/7

Coach Outlook: "We have a ton of experience coming back from a team that reached districts last year. We lost 2 starters one being Jonah Carr (1st Team all state) who will be tough to replace, but we are excited about the future and this season. We have our entire pitching staff back and look forward to seeing the jump they make this season. We play in a very difficult league with 2 time defending state champ Waynedale in it, but we are looking to improve our finish from last year and finish in the top half."

  • Josh Rhodes C 2024, 5'8 170 R/R Ohio Northern Commit hit .400 (transferred from Wadsworth in 2023)
  • TJ Johnson P/INF 2024 5'9 175 R/R Hiram commit threw 42 innings had 45 K's with only 8 BB 3-5 on mound (transferred from Wadsworth in 2023)
  • Justin Metheney P/OF 2024 6'2 188 L/R 4 year starter 46 innings 3-5 46 K's opponents hit .209
  • Logan Pelfrey OF 2024 5'8 165 R/R 4 year starter hit .324 21 RBI 19 runs
  • Spencer Welch INF 2026 5'10 175 2 year starter R/R hit .412 as a freshman and played SS for us everyday
