With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Toledo Bowsher Blue Racers

Team Name: Toledo Bowsher Blue Racers
Head Coach: Ken Baum
Division: I
2023 Record: 13-13
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectionals loss to Norwalk
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/1

Coach Outlook: "We are replacing our top 2 pitchers, and they were our 3 and 4 hitters from a year ago. They pitched all big games for us. We will be very inexperienced in certain spots. If we find pitchers who can throw strikes, We will be in ball games. As the year goes on, we hope to be better than we are in march. We want to play for another league championship. Winning a sectional game is another of the goals we are looking to achieve."

2024 Team Strengths:

  • Right now we are looking to build these into strengths.

  • Roy McCrandall OF/1B .500 AVG 36H 5 2B 5 3B 24 RBI 32 R 20 BB
  • Carter Wise CF/P .333 Avg 18 H, 1 2B, 14 RBI, 17 R, 18 BB
  • Kyle Schropp first year in our program
