With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Toledo Christian Eagles 

Team Name: Toledo Christian Eagles 
Head Coach: Jacob Frank
Division: IV
2023 Record: 17-7
2023 Tourney Finish: District Semifinals loss to North Central
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/3

Coach Outlook: "Toledo Christian will be going through somewhat of a rebuild year compared to years past. As I will be looking to replace 4 seniors and 1 Freshman (transfer) that accounted for 75% of our innings pitched, 70% of our RBIs, and 65% of our runs scored. We will be relying on 3 seniors to lead the charge this year and to fill the void. We will be strong defensively and have great leadership across the board. "

  • Tait Nelson C/OF 2024: 3 year starter and Team Captain. 2023 Stats .280 AVG, 5 2B, 13 RBIs, 14 R.
  • Kaiden Quinn INF/P 2024: 2 year starter. 2023 stats .151 AVG, 9 RBIs, 12 R. 4-0, 2.95 ERA.
  • Zander Delauter INF/P 2024: 2 year starter. 2023 stats .250 AVG, 7 RBIs, 4 R.
  • Tyler Grace Utility/P 2025: 2 year starter. 2023 stats .281 AVG, 4 2B, 1 HR, 9 RBIs, 17 R.
  • Gavin Hamilton 2026: 1 year starter. 2023 stats .295 AVG, 7 RBIs, 13.
