The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

• The Panthers from Clinch County in 2023 finished with a 20-12 record and made it to the first round of the 1A-Public State Playoffs. Coach Douglas and his staff will lead a young Panthers team in 2024. Senior Cade Griffis, will be a swiss army knife for this Clinch County team, looking to be a top arm in the rotation, and play a pivotal role at SS. Junior Levi Corbitt will play a big role on the mound as well. This years Panthers team will be highlighted by the performances of their underclassmen. Sophomores Mattox Allen, and Xavion Johnson will look to be key contributors at 3B and CF. Then Freshman Tate Denmark and Jacob Delk will look to provide strong innings on the mound along with Carter Griffis producing in LF.
