The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

+ The Indians are coming off of a 1A-Public State Championship and 36-5 record. Coach Marchman looks to lean on a very experienced group to make a run at another State Title. The Indians return a strong defensive group with 2 Seniors leading the charge, Cole Crawford and Colton Crews. They will be leaned on to provide quality innings on the mound and produce in the lineup. The Junior class will play a big role in the success of the 2024 season, Catcher, Eli Hobbs and David Walters will have critical roles while playing up the middle, Chase Rhoden will hold down the hot corner at 3B. Two underclassmen, 2026, Griffin Thomas, and 2027, Ethan Crawford look to be key parts in the Charlton County Indians 2024 campaign.
