Quenton Brownlee, OF/RHP, Franklin County HS

Quenton Brownlee is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound OF/RHP with a strong and athletic build who has shown well at multiple events, most recently the Unsigned Senior Games in August at Northern Kentucky University.

Brownlee has displayed good speed, running a 6.70 60-yard dash at the Top Prospect Games in June, and he followed that up with a 4.29 home to first time from the right side at the August event.  He displays athletic outfield actions and an 87 mph arm with good carry.

At the plate, Brownlee uses his strong lower half well to generate very good bat speed, as evidenced by his 93 mph exit velocity off the tee, and shows good power to the gaps. 

Brownlee is also an interesting prospect on the mound.  He uses a quick arm through a high ¾ arm slot to produce an 83-85 mph fastball with occasional cutting action, and a 65-68 mph curveball with 11/5 shape.

Brownlee, currently ranked No.43 in Kentucky’s 2014 class, is an athletic prospect with very good raw tools and solid two-way potential.
