TEAM STRENGTHS
Long Reach has strength in numbers on their side. They have a great blend of returning starters with experience coming back to the team this season and they will play a large role in the team’s success. Add to that the fact that Coach Repsher believes that his senior leadership is one of the best groups he has had and it could lead to a promising season.

QUESTION MARK
Where Long Reach may tend to struggle is their pitching across the board. They are going to need to fill in some gaps from the starting rotation, to the bullpen to create depth and bring some certainty to the staff. It will be a challenge to the team and something that they are going to need for success.  The faster some players can step in and take over roles, the better for the Lightning.

WILDCARD
Giovanny Seanz-Diez is coming off of shoulder surgery and could really emerge into the spotlight for Long Reach this 2015 season.  He moved to Maryland from the Dominican Republic last year and after a year under his belt, it should help slow things down. Coach Repsher thinks that Seanz-Diez could emerge as one of the top catchers in the county.

OVERALL
The Lightning are looking to their returning seniors to help lead the team and help Long Reach take a step forward as a program in 2015. Things look promising as Chris Wessels  (Mount St. Mary’s) became the first Division I commit for the program in the past eight years. The goal is for this to become the norm from the Long Reach program. They have good pieces, and only time will tell if that can translate into a successful 2015.
