Our 2023 fall schedule of events have ended, as prospects across the state are now gearing up for the spring high school baseball season.  Our goal this fall was to get out to different parts of the state to identify prospects that have made jumps since the summer, as well as lay eyes on up-and-coming prospects.  We executed two open events this fall with our Lake Charles Fall ID at Barbe High School and our Baton Rouge Fall ID at Catholic (BR) High School.  In addition to those open events, we also had two invite-only events with our Senior Games at LSU-Eunice, which was for uncommitted 2024 prospects and our State Games at LSU, which was comprised of the best and brightest prospects from the state's 2024-2027 classes.  As with every fall season, there were familiar faces who continued to show well, as well as new prospects who really increased their stock.  Today, we take a look back at some of the top pitching prospects that we saw this fall from the state's 2025 class.

PITCHERS (2025 CLASS)

+ 2025 LHP Anthony Jackson (St. Frederick HS)

Athletic 5'11" 165 lbs. frame with wiry strength throughout.  St. Frederick HS should be a contender in Louisiana's Select Division IV group this coming spring with a stable of arms that includes the uncommitted left-hander.  Jackson worked through an up-tempo delivery and moved athletically down the slope, before using a quick arm action to release the ball from a 3/4 to lower 3/4 slot.  His fastball sat in the 80-81 mph range with classic left-handed arm-side sink and run and he paired it well with a sharp "2-8" shaped low-70's breaking ball with spin rates up to 2371 RPM's.  Jackson also showed some feel for a firmer 76-78 mph change up with some late arm-side fade.  

+ 2025 RHP Shelton Harville Jr. (Captain Shreve HS)

Athletic 6'0" 175 lbs. frame.  The Louisiana Tech recruit recorded 5 K's in his two innings of work at the State Games.  Harville worked in the 85-88 mph range with his FB and he showed the ability to cut it and sink it, while also showing good feel for a sharp 78-82 mph SL with late break down in the zone.  He also mixed in a bigger "11-5" shaped 72-73 mph CB for strikes and a 78-80 mph CH with some late-fade to LHH's.  The Captain Shreve HS product should be the lead man on the mound for the Gators this coming spring.  

+ 2025 LHP Bryce Wilson (Chalmette HS)

Lean 6'1" 155 lbs. frame with a ton of room to add strength.  Wilson is always a guy that we expect to perform and perform well, so it's of no surprise to us that his State Games outing was one of the best on the weekend, as he tossed two no-hit innings of baseball with 4 K's and 0 BB's.  The former Future Gamer showed high-level command of his FB, from a lower VAA, which touched a personal-best 89 mph and sat 85-88 mph, with spin rates of 2400-2561 RPM's.  Wilson also showed improvement with his 72-75 mph SL that had short and late break down in the zone.  He's one of the top left-handed pitchers in the state and shouldn't be uncommitted for much longer. 

  

+ 2025 LHP Adam Guillet (Natchitoches Central HS)

6'3" 195 lbs. physical and durable frame.  The Natchitoches Central HS product showed well in his first PBR event at the State Games.  Guillet struggled with control in his first inning of work, but there was no denying the arm talent and "stuff" that he presented.  He sat 86-89 mph with his FB that showed life through the zone with spin rates of 2300-2666 RPM's.  His 73-75 mph "1-7" CB showed good shape and he also showed feel for a low-80's CH.  Guillet has a starter's profile bundled into a 6'3" frame, which is hard to come by, especially for southpaws, so we fully expect for his recruiting process to heat up as we move into the back-half of the fall.

  

+ 2025 RHP Logan Freche (Oak Forest Academy)

Long, lean, and projectable 6'3" 180 lbs. frame with room to continue to add strength.  The Oak Forest Academy product had a nice State Games showing, especially considering that he played an entire football game the night before.  Freche repeats his delivery well and uses a longer arm stroke to release the ball from a 3/4 slot.  His FB sat 86-89 mph with spin in the 2300-2553 RPM range and he also showed a really interesting CUT FB at 84-87 mph that tunneled well off his heater.  Freche's 78-80 mph SL showed some sweeper characteristics as well, and had a distinct different shape from his CUT FB.  

  

+ 2025 RHP Samuel Mitchell (Parkview Baptist HS)

6'2" 165 lbs. projectable frame with long limbs.  Mitchell had a jam-up State Games outing, as he tossed two shutout innings with 5 K's.  The Parkview Baptist HS product sat 83-87 mph with his FB that showed some arm-side run at times and he paired it well with a sweeping 73-75 mph SL, while also showing feel for a 77-80 mph CH.  What was most impressive about his performance, was the poise that he showed during his first inning of work, where he ended up successfully pitching out of a bases-loaded 1 out jam.  

  

+ 2025 RHP Landon Gaby (Haughton HS)

5'10" 170 lbs. athletic frame.  The Haughton HS product delivered one of the best pitching performances of the weekend, as he tossed two no-hit innings of baseball with 5 K's.  Gaby overpowered hitters with his 86-90 mph FB that he commanded extremely well to his glove-side, and although he didn't have to use it much, he showed good feel for a short and tight 75-79 mph SL.  The uncommitted right-hander established himself as one of the top uncommitted arms in the state's 2025 class.
