As recruiting heats up for 2025 graduates across the country, we are beginning to take a look at some of the top '25 talent still available in Indiana's junior class. Today, we take a look at '25 RHP Matthew Poyer of Hamilton Southeastern HS.

Matthew Poyer RHP / Hamilton Southeastern, IN / 2025An uber-projectable, 6-foot-5, 230 pound right-hander with all-kinds of upside. Poyer creates deception in the delivery with levers flying all over the place & a low 3/4 arm slot that creates a tough look for hitters, especially right-handed hitters. Poyer sits in the low-to-mid 80s (T85) on a fastball with armside sink and he pairs it with a short, 69-71 mph slider. There is upside in his sinking, mid-70s splitter, a swing-and-miss offering against left-handed hitters. Already an above average strike-thrower, I would not be surprised to see this projectable right-hander make a significant velo jump after this offseason.
