Seniors lead Brophy Prep to Big Win

Perhaps the top uncommitted Senior arm in the state had his best stuff going on Tuesday against Trevor G. Browne in the 6A matchup. That arm is 6’3 205-pound Mason Kokodynski. His fastball worked in the 85-87 MPH range, hitting 87 MPH consistently throughout his four-inning outing. The fastball would occasionally cut at 82-84 MPH and was hard to tell if it was something he was doing on purpose or just getting to the side of the baseball. His fastball was paired with a breaking ball at 74-76 MPH that flashed above average at times. He threw it for strikes in an array of counts and did a good job burying it with 2K. Kokodynski sprinkled in a few changeups as well, against a team that was overmatched with his fastball. The pitch was thrown with arm speed and depth at 79-81 MPH.
