New England Insider: Uncommitted Underclass Spotlight - Anthony Socci, OF

Anthony SocciName: Anthony Socci
Position: OF
School: Trumbull
Summer Ball: Trumbull American Legion
Class: 2017
Ranked: 95th in New England

Scouting Report: A right-handed hitter, the stance is spread out, path to the ball is good. The hands work well, throws the barrel. Took a good BP, drove the ball to both gaps. Swung it well in the game. The tee exit velocity was advanced at 87 mph and the time down the line was 4.69. Showed proper footwork in the outfield, arm was 77 mph on the gun. The arm action was long and loose, pulled head a bit, didn't get through all throws. The frame is wiry strong, has room to put added weight on.  Someone to follow, the bat has a chance.
