Player Spotlight (CA): 2019 RHP/C Joseph King

Woodside, CA - Joseph King, the #10 Player in the newly updated 2019 rankings, did a little bit of everything for the Woodside Wildcats in their matchup with Piedmont Hills on 3/8/19, supplying the power with the bat on a long drive to LF in the 1st inning and finishing the last four on the hill. He went 1-3 with a HR, 2 RBI and BB at the plate before 4IP, giving up 0 hits, walking 1 and hitting one while also striking out 7 and closing the door for a Woodside 5-1 victory. A few scouts were on hand to check out King’s outing and he’s got a chance to be a two-way guy at Washington State if he makes it there. If he hears his name called for the MLB Draft, it most likely will be as a pitcher. Let’s take a look at some more notes on King:
