THE FIVE: 2021 Uncommitted SoCal INFIELDERS

It’s been a busy first month of the prep baseball season in SoCal and with the number of games we’ve had a chance to cover comes the opportunity to see plenty of players that have caught our attention. In this edition of THE FIVE, we’ll take a close look at five uncommitted 2021 infielders that have shown the types of tools that will undoubtedly have college coaches following them more closely the rest of this spring and heading into the summer.

With the pace at which college recruiting is going and players committing earlier and earlier - some as early as eighth grade - it’s refreshing to come across high level talented players that remain uncommitted into their sophomore seasons and beyond. In speaking with a few of these five players they certainly have options when it comes to college destinations beyond high school, making the fact they remain uncommitted that much more intriguing.

Lets take a closer look at THE FIVE uncommitted 2021 infielders that college coaches are going to want to get eyes on. 

2021 SS Max Muncy of Thousand Oaks HS is one of the top uncommitted 2021 recruits in the region and is garnering the attention of programs across the country and after watching him a few times this spring it's easy to see why. He moves very well to both sides defensively and has some sneaky power in the bat (see 2/16 video below) that projects to continue to develop. He looks the part of a high level recruit already and as the spring turns into summer it will only be a matter of time until he finds the right collegiate fit for him....
