PBR: Why did you choose Saginaw Valley State?

Carson: I really like the coach staff and the goals they had for the program. They thought I could contribute to the program right away so I thought it was the right place for me.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Carson: I didn't have much other college interest other than some Jucos.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?

Carson: They first saw me at a tournament in Flint last year during the high school season while they we checking out some kids on our team.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Carson: This year I'm playing for Berryhill in Midland and my most memorable moment would be winning back to back state championships in 2013 & 2014.

PBR: Why a 4 year school over a 2 year?

Carson: I wasn't really interested in playing juco ball. I wanted to get a good education and also play baseball for 4 years somewhere.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Carson: At first my expectations were that colleges were just going to come to me, but I realized that contacting colleges is a good way to start.

PBR: What were your stats last spring season?

Carson: .395 avg. 45 hits, 41 RBIs, 17 doubles and 28 runs scored

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
