Top Prospect Games Results

The Top Prospect Games held at The St. Louis Sports Center and University of Missouri-St. Louis yielded some top level Class of 2015 and 2016 talent in all aspects of the game and left a lasting impression on the PBR staff.

Pitching and fielding highlighted Wednesday's games with 16 of the 32 pitchers in the 80's, led by LHPs Michael Bruhin and Shane Combs (MICDS) at 86-mph. RHPs John Howard (Clayton HS) and Justin Dirden (Ft. Zumwalt North) both topped at 85-mph.

RHP Luke Matheny from Westminster showed the best control of the group, throwing only five balls in three innings of work while topping at 84-mph. Grant Geppert from Highland (IL) didn't over power batters, but effectively threw strikes and hit spots creating ground ball after ground ball with great mound presence. Austin Bennett (Wentzville Holt) also showed ability to change speeds with control of all three pitches and produce lots of ground ball outs.

Over the next few days, we will be posting complete event write ups and highlighting individual performances.
