Ontario Insider: Initial Class of 2021 Player Rankings (May)

With rankings becoming polished up and released across the high school age group here in Ontario, we take a look at the first ever edition of the 2021 class. As we begin to learn more about the future ball players of Ontario and the next generation of talent, it’s a safe bet that there is future National Team players, Division 1 athletes and a handful of pro prospects among the high school freshman.

Not to put the weight of the world already on their shoulders, we at PBR Ontario are excited about what could be, and are looking forward to covering this class for the next few years and beyond.

Enough talking about it, read below on some of the top prospects to date and take a look at the first viewing of Ontario’s 2021 class.

Number 1

Connor O'Halloran LHP / St. Martins, ON / 2021

Report: O’Halloran comes in as the number 1 ranked prospect in the 2021 class after he made the decision to reclassify. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound left-hander from the Ontario Terriers has a smooth and repeatable delivery with an easy arm swing that gets out front and commands the zone well for his age. The fastball works in the 82-84 range and he backs that up with feel for both his curveball and changeup. He spins the breaking ball with proper rotation and downward action, garnering many swings and misses in game. As he has recently grown over the winter, the stuff, feel, and body of work to date puts him as our top prospect in the 2021 class.
