New England Top Five Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles for Rhode Island - #3 Joe Michael

Joe Michael#3 Joe Michael, 2016 (CCRI commit)
Background: Second event for Joe, and the bat shows a chance to play at the next level. Hits from the right side, stance is open, wide and sits a little on the backside. The path is good level through the zone, the finish is good, stays through the ball well. The tee exit velocity was 84 mph, hands work and are strong.  Down the line ran a 4.35, showed long strides with a good kick. At bats in game were good, not much to show for it. In the outfield the prep steps, setup and footwork are clean. The arm is clean with a longer arm path to it, the front side could be stronger. Registered 80 mph on the gun, flight was good with some carry, throws on line and did not handcuff the fielders. The body is strong and bigger than it looks, back is wide. Upside is good on this kid, is aggressive and loves to compete. Definite follow for me.
