FULL EVENT COVERAGE

Michel Muniz Jr C / RHP / Sunnyside, AZ / 2025

Michel Muniz Jr, a standout catcher from Sunnyside High School, certainly made a name for himself on Sunday with his skills both behind the plate and in the batter's box. As a catcher, he consistently demonstrated his quick transfer and strong arm with an impressive pop time ranging from 1.88-1.94. Muniz's defensive abilities make him a formidable presence on the field, and his dedication to improving his craft is evident. On the offensive front, he showed a high leg lift in his load, but what sets him apart is his ability to get on time and drive balls to the big part of the field. We look forward to following Muniz as he goes into his Junior year at Sunnyside.

Brady Mitchell OF / SS / Canyon Del Oro , AZ / 2025

Brady Mitchell, the left-handed hitting outfielder representing Canyon Del Oro High School, had a standout day on Sunday at the Tucson ID. Brady possesses a simple yet effective left-handed swing, allowing him to consistently drive the ball to the opposite field with authority. In addition to his quality rounds at the plate, Brady showcased  his athleticism with a top 60 time of 6.64 seconds, highlighting his agility and acceleration on the field. His outfield skills are equally impressive, with a top velocity of 89 miles per hour, emphasizing his strong arm and accuracy. Brady Mitchell is certainly one to watch as he continues to excel on the diamond, he is a high follow for the Arizona staff this spring.

Rafael Echeverria LHP / OF / Rio Rico, AZ / 2025

Rafael Echeverria, the left-handed pitcher hailing from Rio Rico High School, may not be the tallest on the mound at 5 foot 9 and 145 pounds, but what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for with his crafty pitching arsenal. Echeverria boasts a three-pitch mix that keeps batters guessing and consistently delivers results. His ability to command all three pitches with precision and confidence sets him apart. His fastball, clocking in at 79-81 miles per hour, is deceptive and sets the stage for his secondary offerings. The slider, has 2460 spin at 68-70 mph, keeps hitters off balance, while his changeup, ranging from 69-72 mph, adds an extra layer of unpredictability.

Brayden Hoyler SS / RHP / Canyon Del Oro, AZ / 2027

Brayden Hoyler, a 2027 graduate from Canyon Del Oro High School, emerged as one of the top 2027 prospects at the event. His athletic actions at shortstop displayed finesse and a pocket that always seemed to find the sweet spot when fielding, complemented by an impressive 82 mph arm that underscored his defensive prowess. At the plate, Hoyler's long levers generated impressive bat speed, resulting in a maximum exit velocity (EV) of 90.5 mph. His standout performance at the event solidified his status as one of the more promising prospects to attend. We look forward to following Hoyler this spring as he goes into his Freshman season.

Henry Verhamme SS / RHP / Cactus Shadows, AZ / 2026

Henry Verhamme, a right-handed hitter and middle infielder representing Cactus Shadows High School, impressed both at the plate and in the field. His batting skills revealed an impressive pullside power, marked by true spin, and he showcased a maximum exit velocity (EV) of 94.3 mph, indicating his ability to drive the ball with authority. On the defensive side, Verhamme demonstrated his arm strength with an 85 mph velo across the infield. With his well-rounded skills, Henry Verhamme is a high follow for the Arizona staff as he goes into his sophomore campaign at Cactus Shadows.
