NC: Big Innings Propel Reagan Past Hough

PBR Staff
Prep Baseball Report of NC

On Saturday, Reagan HS travelled to Hough for a 2nd round game in the 4A NCHSAA State Tournament.  Hough ran out ace lefty JD Brock as Reagan countered with a “Staff” day to keep the Huskies off balance.  In the end, two, three run innings would move Reagan into the 3rd round and end a good run by Hough.

Hough would take an early lead with 1 run in the 1st.  A bases loaded single from Justin Offshanka scored Jack Marcello, but Jon Schuldt was cut down at the plate to end the inning.  A possible momentum shift, with the outfield assist to end the inning was quickly quieted as Brock struckout the side in the 2nd.

Reagan would get on the board in the 3rd with a leadoff single from CJ Boyd, followed by a SAC bunt from Will Rice.
