2023 High School Rewind: No. 1 Best Heater

As we near the end of 2023, our staff would like to take a look back at the standout players and standout moments from the Virginia/DC High School Season. We have selected five end of the year categories where we will pick out the ten best players/moments for that specific category.

After we presented numbers two through ten of the best fastballs from the 2023 high school season, we want to highlight the 2023 VA/DC High School Rewind: Best Overall Heater. This award goes to the now San Francisco Giant, Bryce Eldridge. The PBR Virginia/DC High School Player of the Year dominated at the plate and on the mound. Eldridge touted a fastball in the low 90's and got up to 94-95 mph on occasion. Congratulations to the Madison High School graduate on his selection in the first round of the MLB Draft, as well as all of the various awards that he has been recognized for since the season ended, including his latest, the 2023 PBR Virginia/DC Best Heater.
