Player Of The Week: Walker Ladner

2019 LHP Walker Ladner (Florenece HS, MS) has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Mississippi Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance on the mound and at the plate.
The Hinds CC signee, was 1-0 on the mound with a no hitter. He walked only one while striking out 14. At the plate, he was 8-for-8 with four singles, three doubles, and a triple. He drove in seven runs and scored five more runs. On the season, Walker is hitting .508 with 41 runs driven in. He has six doubles, six triples, and five home runs. On the mound he is 5-1 with a .457 ERA. He has surrendered two earned runs and given up only six hits in 30.2 innings.
For his efforts, Ladner has been named the Prep Baseball Report Mississippi Player of the Week for the week of April 1 – April 7.
