PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

SMITH: Culver-Stockton College, Eastern Maine Community College, Wilkes University and Northland College

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future? If so, what schools, and how recently?

SMITH: Northwest Missouri State University in September and plan on visiting Culver Stockton College on December 12th workout for a visit and with the baseball team.

PBR: Are you looking for anything particular in a school?

SMITH I am looking for a high academic school with majors in psychology and physical education. I also want a college that has a great student to teacher ratio with hands on learning experiences.

PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?

SMITH:  I played the season with high intensity and dedication to helping my fellow teammates advance into scoring positions by drawing many walks. I batted .280 and lead my team in Quality-At-Bats. My team had a frustrating year. We went 1-1 with everyone in the MRVC West Conference. We finished 3rd Tournament. The Booneville Wood Bat Tournament was a confidence builder. We went 2-0, beating Booneville and Centralia to take 1st round of Districts, with a heart breaking loss in the last inning to Marshall.

PBR: What are your goals for senior season?

SMTIH: This year the seniors and I have not only talked about making a statement this year about winning conference, but we are talking about the final four. Last year, there was no leadership on the team and no team chemistry. We know we have the talent, but talent means nothing on a team without unity. I have taken on that leadership role for I have scheduled and pushed my teammates to work hard at our winter workouts 5 days a week in an indoor facility in Oak Grove. My personal goal this year is to have a better hitting season and get on base anyway I can to help my team win.in the tournament. We fell short in the first

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

SMITH: During the summer I play for the Andrew County Kings 18u Elite Showcase team. This last summer we traveled to the University of Missouri, Missouri Western State University, and Kansas State. I am no longer playing fall ball this year.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

SMITH: Freshman year I played football. I play basketball for recreation.

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

SMITH: ACT- 19, but taking it again December 14. GPA- 2.72.
