College programs are back from Thanksgiving Break and preparing for the Winter Break. Typically schools will begin exams at about this time as well. All of this can slow the recruiting process for some schools, as they tend to their current roster’s needs. Other staffs may throttle down, seeing an opening after camps and prior to the spring season.
This week, 10 players from North Carolina made their commitments. Wake Tech CC secured three from the 2019 class, while two from the 2020 class picked their schools. One of the key commitments came from 2019 SS Cameron Greene (Charlotte Country Day). Greene is athletic and still developing physically. A middle infielder by trait, Greene has the ability to play all over the field and that ability to adapt may help him crack the lineup sooner for Coach Chad Holbrook and the Cougars of College of Charleston.
