Impact Spotlight: 2 Senior Arms from Winter Events

Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting

The Impact Spotlight continues to highlight uncommitted players that may make an impact at the next level.  Each player spotlighted has attended a PBR event, securing a full PBR profile with an evaluation, statistics, and a video.  Players attending PBR events are able to connect with over 800+ college coaches and pro scouts that subscribe to PBR.  Inside the Impact Spotlight, each player will have evaluations and video available.

Over the course of January and February, PBR scoured the state to identify players for college coaches and professional scouts.  Events included scout days, open IDs, and invitation only showcases.

Tyrstan Jenkins (RHP, 2018, Mitchell HS) is a lanky righty that has been up to 85 in front of PBR scouts.  There should be room for continued growth in his stuff as he fills out the frame.  Jenkins recently attended the PBR Preseason All-State event as a dual position player.

Elijah Carr (RHP, 2018, Bandys HS) threw one of the more impressive bullpens in all of the winter events, flooding the zone with three pitches.  The fastball worked up to 85.  There may be limited projection, but there is pitch-ability present right now.

Each player is profiled below, with statistics, evaluations, and video.
