College of Marin (CA) vs. Santa Rosa JC (CA)

Blaine Clemmens
Northern California Director of Scouting

SANTA ROSA, CA - On a brisk, but sunny day, the Santa Rosa JC Bear Cubs defeated College of Marin Mariners by a 8-5 score. The win takes SRJC to 3-1 on the young season, while COM fell to 2-5. COM took an early 2-0 lead, only to see SRJC tie it in the bottom of the 3rd and then put up six more runs in the middle frames. A late uprising by COM made it close and they had chances to tie the game but some clutch Bear Cub relief pitching kept the Mariners at bay. Included are scout notes on 10 players:

SCOUT NOTES

Hayden Klemenok, OF (L/R), FR, Santa Rosa JC
5-foot-10, 185-pounds. Good frame, wider shoulders and some strength. Played left field and led-off. Big day at plate (2-4, R, 4 RBI, 2B, BB, K). Has some life to swing and keeps barrel in the zone, showed ability to dig out 2-strike fastballs and still do damage in that count.
