Over 20 uncommitted prospects from the 2020 graduating class took the field at Harford CC last week to showcase their skills in a pro-style workout, batting practice, and live game. College coaches from around the region and PBR Maryland staff were on hand to get one last look as the summer comes to a close. Below are some early thoughts on players that stood out. Stay tuned for evaluations on all players from this year's Unsigned Senior Games in the weeks to come.

- South Carroll 2020 OF/RHP Nick Trey had arguably the most impressive all-around day at this year's Unsigned Senior Games. Trey showcased speed, a strong arm, and the ability to really swing it at the plate. After running a 6.84 60-yard dash, Trey threw several lasers from the outfield at 82 mph on a line to home plate during the defensive portion of the workout. He showed his versatility to be a solid two-way player at the next level later by inducing weak contact during the game off the bump. Trey's fastball sat 79-81 mph and touched 82 mph with good movement. In addition to the fastball, Trey showed a good feel for his breaking ball (72-73 mph) and changeup (72-74 mph) with the ability to throw them in any count. At the plate, Trey took two very nice rounds of BP squaring several balls up using the whole field and showing gap-to-gap pop. The pop was evident in the game as he drove one to the right-center field gap for an easy triple.

- Atholton 2020 C/3B Zachary Geesaman showcased present strength at the plate and versatility to catch and or play third base at the next level. The bat plays and Geesaman will be a very nice middle of the order addition to any program. During BP, Geesaman launched two over the wall pull-side and took another off the wall. In the game, he also showcased the pop with an RBI ground-rule double to the left-center field gap. Geesaman's exit velocity was 87 mph during testing. Behind the plate, he showed a quick catch-and-release with pops ranging 1.90 - 2.01. Solid and athletic enough to play either corner in the infield or a corner spot in the outfield if necessary.

- Another two-way player that had a great day was Bohemia Manor 2020 RHP/2B Tyler Hayden. Hayden sat 80-83 mph and touched 84 mph off the bump striking out three of the six batters he faced in the simulated scrimmage. Hayden featured a 65-66 mph 11/5 breaking ball and 67-70 mph changeup to go along with that fastball. Really nice mix, control and showed great confidence on the mound. Hayden was solid defensively at short during the workout with enough arm strength to play any position in the infield. At the plate, he showed a nice easy swing staying gap-to-gap with pop. Hayden also collected a double during game-play scorching one down the left field line.

- Old Mill 2020 OF/1B Caleb Bailey ran the fastest 60-yard time of the event at 6.82. He also showcased quick hands and some power at the plate from the left side with an exit velocity of 83 mph barreling balls and peppering the pull-side gap. Bailey added an RBI base hit up the middle during the game and showed excellent patience at the plate drawing a pair of walks.

- Glenelg 2020 RHP/1B Alex Lawson turned heads with his super projectable 6'7'', 200 pound frame as he came to the mound to start the game. While the righty struggled to find his control throughout the outing, the arm really works as he was up to 85 mph with a 67-69 mph 10/4 breaking ball and 74-76 mph changeup.

- Walkersville 2020 C/2B Jacob Saylor showed a nice gap-to-gap line drive swing at the plate and put five throws on the money to second base with pop times ranging 2.07 - 2.19. He also laced an RBI double to the right-center field gap during the game and drew a walk.

- Mount St. Joseph 2020 LHP Matt McManus threw two very nice innings during the game. Projectable 6'2'', 170 pound frame, running the fastball up to 80 mph. McManus mixed it up well and lived low inducing several weak ground balls to go along with four strikeouts. His breaking ball showed some good 1/7 shape at 68-71 mph and his changeup ranged 65-67 mph.

- Catoctin 2020 LHP/1B Briar Castellow showed some two-way ability at the next level. Castellow is athletic and smooth around the bag at first. The lefty also showed a beautiful swing and gap-to-gap line drive approach at the plate. Short swing with quick hands and quick bat speed. On the bump, Castellow showed good control and command of his fastball and breaking ball. Castellow worked ahead of hitters and struck out two in one inning of work. Featured a fastball that sat 75-77 mph and touched 78 mph and a 62-63 mph breaking ball with 1/7 shape.

- Loyola Blakefield 2020 OF/RHP Bennett Link has a projectable frame at 6'2'', 185 pounds and ran a 7.03 60-yard time. The left-handed hitting Link showed present power to the pull side during BP peppering the right field wall in both rounds. Link also recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph and showcased some arm strength from the outfield at 79 mph with several throws on the money to home plate.

- Archbishop Spalding 2020 RHP Nate Vermillion also has a nice projectable frame at 6'2'', 220 pounds. The righty's velocity was slightly down topping at 80 mph during the event but he worked quick and struck out three in the two innings he worked. Showed good command of a 67-69 mph sharp 12/6 breaking ball.
