Outlook:

The Edmond North Huskies come into 2024 with high expectations coming off a state tournament appearance a year ago. The Huskies will lean on one of the deeper pitching staffs in the state to try and get it done in the upcoming season. We know the Huskies will pitch it well, but it will come down to if the bats can step up if they want to make a serious run into the postseason this year. Matt Allen arrives in his first year as HC for the Huskies and Edmond North isn’t a team you want to match up with as the season moves along, as the Huskies will have a chance to take anyone down with the staff they have on the mound.

Impact Players:

Owen Hall, 2024, RHP, Vanderbilt Commit

Hall has been one of top prep arms in the ‘24 class for the majority of his high school career as he looks to continue his streak of dominance in his senior season. The Vanderbilt commit has shown elite swing and miss stuff on the circuit getting up to 97 mph in the summer while also showing a sweeping SL in the mid 80’s and a CH in the upper 80’s. Hall will have tons of eyes on him this spring as a potential draft prospect in this year's MLB Draft as he has one of the most electric arms in the country.

Pryce Bender, 2024, RHP/INF, Nebraska Commit

The 2-way prospect will be a major impact player for the Huskies in 2024 as both a position player and a pitcher. When not on the mound, Bender will man the shortstop position as he has the past few years and will hit at the top of the lineup as well. Bender has some of the top athleticism in the state and will also show some power with the bat.  On the mound, Bender works in the upper 80’s from a ¾ arm slot using a rocker style delivery creating momentum down the mound. Bender also flashes a low 80’s SL for strikes showing the ability to get swings and misses as well. Look for Bender to make another jump on the mound and continue to deliver at the plate in 2024.

Isaac Worden, 2025, LHP/OF, Uncommitted

Worden was a recent standout at our Preseason All-State event getting up to 85.6 mph on the mound filling the zone. His cross-body action creates a strong advantage on the mound especially when attacking left-handed hitters.  Worden is expected to be the everyday CF for the Huskies in 2024 and could potentially see some time at the top of the order.

Brandon Green, 2025, RHP/C, Uncommitted

Green is a high follow 2-way prospect is expected to be the everyday backstop for the Huskies in the upcoming spring. On the mound, Green got up to 85 mph this past summer and we are intrigued to see if he has made any jumps in the offseason. Expect Green to be a high impact piece if the Huskies want to make some noise in 2024.

Players To Watch:

Joshua Klontz, 2024, 1B, East Central Commit

Isaac Laus, 2025, INF, Uncommitted

Weston Isaacs, 2024, INF, East Central Commit
