On November 7th, Prep Baseball Report launched its National Preseason ID Showcase Schedule, including three events from the Volunteer state. It all starts on January 7th with the Nashville Preseason ID that will be held at Liberty Creek HS (Gallatin, TN), then our staff hits the road to both the east and west sides of the state by hosting the Mid-South Preseason ID at Collierville HS (Collierville, TN) on January 20th and the Knoxville Preseason ID at BC Athletics (Knoxville, TN) the following week on January 27th. All leading up to one of our biggest invite-only events of the preseason with the Tennessee Preseason All-State that will be held at Liberty Creek HS Indoor Facility in Gallatin, TN.

WHAT IS A PRESEASON ID EVENT?

The Preseason ID series is unique in several ways. It serves as an identifier heading into the spring high school season, giving our scouts as well as college recruiters, a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the Preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains, primed for updating their PBR profile. All of which lends the perfect opportunity to secure invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events such as the Top Prospect Games, PBR Future Games, and more. 

Our staff strategically hosts Preseason I.D. events throughout the state in search of players who have taken advantage of the offseason, identifying new prospects to add to our follow lists or players our staff is already familiar with who are on the rise.

All player information including tech metrics, stats, videos, scouting reports and more will be hosted to the Prep Baseball Report website, bolstering the player profile, which is subscribed to by more than 900 colleges across the country.

NASHVILLE PRESEASON ID

We're excited to kick our 2024 schedule off and run our first Preseason ID of the winter in the Nashville area at Liberty Creek High School's top of the line indoor, all turf practice facility in Gallatin, TN. This Preseason ID is an open event and is available for all 2024-2027 prospects. We expect several players from various parts of the state and surrounding suburbs of the Nashville area to be in attendance on January 7th. The Prep Baseball Tennessee staff is eager and excited to get over to Liberty Creek HS for the first time in 2024 and check out the talent set to attend the event.

MID-SOUTH PRESEASON ID

Up next on our preseason campaign, the Prep Baseball Tennessee staff hits the road to the west side of the state as we are set to host the Mid-South Preseason ID on January 20th at Collierville High School's Indoor Athletic Facility in Collierville, TN. Last year's event displayed a strong pool of talent from both western Tennessee and northern parts of Mississippi and we as a staff expect the same in 2024.

The 2023 Mid-South Preseason ID consisted of 34 prospects and two of them made the trip over Emerson, GA for the 2023 Prep Baseball Future Games. '25 RHP Aiden Steht (Desoto Central HS; MS) who later committed to the University of Memphis and '25 MIF Dayne Wray (Tupelo HS; MS) who later committed to the University of Louisina Monroe.

KNOXVILLE PRESEASON ID

Our last Preseason ID belongs to the Knoxville, TN area as we will be on the road to BC Athletics on January 27th to host the Knoxville Preseason ID. We are excited to be back at BC Athletics for another preseason event and look forward to seeing the crop of talent that continues to come out of eastern Tennessee. The Knoxville Preseason ID is slated for Saturday, January 27th and will be open to all 2024-2027 graduates.

Our event at BC Athletics last preseason showcased some strong talent across the board and also featured a 2023 Future Gamer and recent University of Tennessee commit, '25 C/3B Colton Denton.

TENNESSEE PRESEASON ALL STATE

+ The Tennessee Preseason All-State is our first invite-only event on our 2024 schedule and it is locked in for Saturday, February 10th at Liberty Creek's High School Indoor Athletic Facility in Gallatin, TN. This event is an annual showcase that allows our staff and scouts to see some of the top talent that the state has to offer all in one setting throughout the 2024-2027 classes in Tennessee. Our event last year was covered with talent all around, including several Future Gamers, ranked prospects, Division-I commits and much more. Our expectations as a staff are high for this premier preseason event and we're pumped to see the talent that is set to attend in February.

Last year's roster for the Tennessee Preseason All-State now consists of 27 college committments, including 15 Division-I commits such as '25 RHP Ari Bethea (Collierville HS; Tennessee commit) and former Future Gamer, OF/LHP Konner Bowden (Columbia Central HS; MTSU commit) and former Future Gamer, RHP/SS Carter Casabella (Station Camp; Tennessee Tech commit), RHP Eli DeBerry (Arlington HS; Memphis commit) and former Future Gamer, OF/LHP Carter Kelley (Giles County; Georgia commit), RHP/SS Daniel Parris (Knoxville Catholic; Tennessee commit), and MIF Cole Pippenger (Coffee County Central; Mississippi State commit).
