EVENT HISTORY

‘24 OF Nicholas Barac (Eastside Catholic) - One of the more athletic OF prospects in the ‘24 class, Barac put together a well rounded performance last winter and carried over that positive momentum into the year. At 6’2, 175, he’s an explosive runner with burst and quickness. Offensively he uses quick, powerful wrists to create bat speed and drive the ball with power from gap to gap.

‘24 SS Jacob Freer (Newport) - A polished left-handed bat with a smooth glove hand. Freer showed one of the strongest INF arms at last year’s workout as well as one of the top exit velocities. He has a classic left-handed stroke with a high, lofted finish while staying balanced throughout. Defensively can stick on the dirt long-term with sound footwork and easy actions.

‘25 SS/RHP Lincoln Oelschlager (Lakeside) - One of the top 2-way performances we saw last year at the Seattle IDs. Oelschlager has exciting arm talent that plays from both the left side of the INF and on the bump. He was 82 mph across the diamond, tops at the event. While also posting the 3rd highest FB at 84.0 mph. Offensively possesses a fluid swing from the right side with relaxed barrel control and balance.

2024 ROSTER

‘27 C/INF Pete Browand (Peninsula) - A name to know in the 2027 class. Browand was an exceptional performer this past summer down at the Junior Future Games in Georgia and looks to carry that momentum into 2024. A mature hitter with bat speed and power. He’s shown aptitude for handling velo and being able to adjust to spin. Defensively he does a lot of things well but profiles exceptionally at C with his receiving ability and arm strength. Capable of jumping on the mound as well where the arm talent translates to a clean delivery and feel for a quality arsenal.

‘26 C/RHP Tilden Hsu (Lakeside) - Hsu has always impressed with his natural feel for the game and his polished actions as a switch hitting catcher. Recently his overall physicality and strength have improved and it’s leading to more potent output in all facets of his game. The arm strength is trending up as well and he could give us one of the loudest performances we’ll see on the bump this weekend.

‘26 OF Atticus Quist (Glacier Peak) - Quist put together a strong performance last year as a 2-way prospect and his L/L profile for OF/LHP projects well to the next level. An athletic mover with burst and agility out of the gate, Quist moves easily in the OF when closing on the ball and possesses quality arm strength. Offensively he’s strong at the point of contact with a firm front side and uphill finish. On the mound he uses a tight compact arm action with a deceptive release.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PRESEASON IDs

The Preseason ID series is unique in several ways. It serves as an identifier heading into the spring season, giving our scouts as well as college recruiters, a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the Preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains, primed for updating their Prep Baseball profile. All of which lends the perfect opportunity to secure invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events such as the ProCase, Prep Baseball Future Games and more.

Our staff strategically hosts Preseason ID events throughout the state in search of players who have taken advantage of the offseason, identifying new prospects to add to our follow lists or players our staff is already familiar with who are on the rise.

All player information including tech metrics, stats, videos, scouting reports and more will be hosted to the Prep Baseball website, bolstering the player profile, which is subscribed to by more than 1,000 colleges across the country.
