2026 Prospects

Ryan Long C / C / Eastside Catholic, WA / 2026

Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Fiery rotational levers.
Hit: RHH. Open stance. Front leg steps forward into even square stance towards pitcher while putting weight on back side. Shifts weight forward when front leg lands. Backside snaps with rotational quickness slightly before contact. Quiet hands, move into hitting slot before front foot lands. Hands come quickly up through the ball generated by quick hip rotation. Burstful swing, finishes out front with hands extended through the zone. Power: Strong rotational power up through the ball.
Arm: RH. C-72 mph. Fluid transfer from glove to hand. Gets right foot in the ground quickly for quick right-left delivery. Consistent arm motion for accurate throws.
Defense: 2.04-2.15 pop times. Low target with upper body diagonal to the ground. Wide base. Works up through the ball with thumb down. Smooth hands.
ATH: 7.86 runner in the 60. 1.99 and 4.37 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 

Talan Robertson 3B / RHP / Rogers, WA / 2026

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 160-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Quiet, relaxed set up with an upright stance and lower half slightly open. Gains ground with a short forward stride out of a low leg lift. Subtle weight shift into landing. Backside comes off ground at contact. Simplified actions with few moving parts helps barrel work easily into contact Upper half stays bent to keep hands tight to body. Starts near rear shoulder then works slightly down and back to slot barrel into a better hitting position. Rotaties in a tight window to create easy bat speed. Shows some lift at point of contact with potential to add more power quickly
Power: 85 max exit velocity, averaged 81.6 MPH. 300' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-78 mph.Loose, easy arm action with a full circular path into 3/4 release. Arm works freely after exchange with extension out front.
Defense: Low pre-pitch set up with a narrow squat prior to making first step towards the ball. Works down on the play with hip hinge over the ball and a flat back. Exchanges on the move with consistent rhythm and keeps momentum behind throw.

Lead hip pushes down mound during stride phase. Creates some shoulder tilt at hand break. Average stride length wtih clean direction towards catcher. Upright finish with torso staying tall at release.
Arm Action: RH. Easy arm action from INF translates to the bump. Arm moves continuously out of the glove with a full arm circle into 3/4 release. Loose, easy action at release. Projects well for gains

Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Strong, lean build. Athletic trim
Hit: LHH. Tall, upright set up with slightly narrow base. Lower half starts closed off with some inward rotation from upper half. Low, quick leg lift with minimal weight shift. Shorter forward stride, stays tall. Slight uphill path, creates natural lift, flashes easly lofted pop to pull side. Strong, quick hands that accelerate thru the zone 62.3 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Arm: RH. C-72 mph. Loose, whippy arm action. Stays compact from high 3/4 slot. Strong carry out of hand with consistent ball flight. Stays through the ball after release
Defense: 2.14-2.33 pop times. Mobile backstop with quick actions from the crouch. Presents big target while receiving with upright torso and low hips. Clean footwork allows easy exchange into throwing motion as he re-directs towards target. Glove hand stays soft while receiving
