2023 PBR All-American Game, Spotlight: Brayden Krenzel

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

We're highlighting senior right-hander Brayden Krenzel next, an Ohio native out of Dublin Jerome HS, who kicked off his summer with a commitment to Tennessee.

Prep Baseball Report's VP of Scouting, Shooter Hunt, published a piece of analysis regarding 'Helium Candidates' at the start of June, players on the brink of breakouts, and Krenzel was among them. He made good on Shooter's optimism by completely capitalizing on his summer opportunities while on the national circuit, too.

Here's what Shooter had to say about the Volunteers recruit who will be headed out to Milwaukee in September: "One of the best things that you can say about a prospect is that he 'keeps getting better,' and that is exactly what the reports have been coming out of Ohio with regards to Krenzel over the past year. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-hander utilizes a longer arm stroke to produce low-90s heat with a low pulse that hides considerable intensity. An athlete on the mound with the ability to tunnel a tight slider and faded changeup, Krenzel’s upward trajectory is one to monitor closely throughout the summer."
