Prep Baseball is very excited to announce a new event that will encompass the top rising Sophomore players on the East Coast. The East Coast Super Sophomore Games will be hosted at Wake Forest University and High Point University, in the Triad of North Carolina, on August 2-4, 2024. The event will be comprised of 10 teams from regions on the east coast. The top Sophomores in the regions will be scheduled to go through a full workout and play three games. The potential of this event will rival that of other top tier PBR events like the Future Games, West Coast Games, and Super60.

The eight regions that will bring teams to North Carolina are South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland/Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The 10th team will be Team Select, composed of players from multiple east coast regions.

Wake Forest University will host the workout day and games over the three day period. David F Couch Ballpark is home to the Demon Deacons and has quickly become one of the hot spots for college baseball. In 2023 Wake Forest, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, hosted a NCAA Regional and Super Regional at their home stadium, on their way to the College World Series.

High Point University has quickly become a destination point for students around the country. Along with the beautiful campus, High Point has developed an athletics program that competes in sports across the board in the Big South Conference. The Panther’s baseball program plays on campus at Willard Stadium. Willard Stadium is scheduled to host at least one game for each region in the event.  

Both Willard Stadium and David F Couch Ballpark are full turf facilities with chairback stadium designs. Prep Baseball is very excited to bring the top talent on the east coast to these two facilities, each with high level playing surfaces, plus comfortable viewing areas for scouts, coaches, families and friends.

Prep Baseball Scouts will be looking to fill the East Coast Super Sophomore Games with the top 2027 graduates in each region. Scouting staffs in each region will be using their upcoming events in the winter, spring, and early summer, as well as high school game evaluations, to set their teams.  

Prep Baseball is the largest scouting organization in the country. With a blend of advanced analytics and a “boots on the ground” mentality, Prep Baseball has become a trusted and valued source for college coaches and Major League Baseball. The ability to bring the top 2027 graduates from up and down the east coast to one premier spot will continue to enhance the trust and reputation of Prep Baseball.
