WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Expectations for Team - With almost the entire starting lineup returning the Nighthawks are expected to compete for a conference title. On the mound returning both conference  starters and a healthy Gibson could give them edge this year in the conference.

From the Coach, Expected Team Strength
We're returning both of our conference starters on the mound (Isaac Miles and Jordan Kempton), as well as Fionn Reilly, who lead us in appearances. We will also have a healthy Riley Gibson on the mound. Our pitching staff has a chance to be solid. Offensively, we have potential to put together some big innings with Gabe Kelly, Aaron Stewart, Everest Ouellette, Isaac Miles, and Riley Gibson in the box.        

THOUGHTS ON THE CONFERENCE:

Currituck is always a really good club. Coach Hill does a great job with that program and I'm excited to see how we bounce back from two losses to those guys last year. Camden County made an unbelievable run last year in the 2A State Playoffs and I know Coach Lowe is excited about his team again this year. We split with Camden last season. Edenton will be solid again this year. We also split with them. Pasquotank lost some good players from last year's team that finished just ahead of us in the league, but I know Coach Wilkins will put a good product on the field again this year. I know that Manteo has quite a few strong freshmen that will add to what Coach Alexander is building down the road from us. It should be a competitive season for our league.
