Hamilton middle infielder John Heckman is one of the top uncommitted seniors at his position in Ohio.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect from southwestern Ohio has shown sub 6.9 speed, natural actions with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond, and a quick, compact swing at the plate.

"I'm still very much up in the air at the moment," Heckman said in response to his recruiting status.

The middle infielder is exploring his options, and one local program has made a strong push for his services.

He noted, "Sinclair made me a really nice offer. Coach Dintaman has been fantastic to me."

Still, there are Division I, Division II, and Division III programs on his list.

Heckman explained, "I've been up to Akron a couple of times, and had some great talks with Coach Rembielak, but nothing official."

In addition, he is exploring Division II programs from northern Ohio.

Heckman continued, "I'm making visits to Lake Erie and Tiffin."

Keeping all of his doors open, he is still giving serious consideration to Division III power Marietta.
