Prep Baseball Nevada: HS Player of the Week (Week 7)

The Prep Baseball Nevada High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for a Nevada High School player from the previous week. Each week, High School coaches across the State are asked to fill out our questionnaire for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week. Every Saturday a link will be pushed out on social accounts to the Player/Pitcher of the Week questionnaire with a deadline of Saturday night at 11:59PM, followed by the announcement on Sunday.
Our Week Seven 'Player of the Week' goes to '25 1B Tanner Johns (Oregon) of Palo Verde HS as he batted .615 on the week with four extra-base hits and nine RBI.

'25 1B TANNER JOHNS, PALO VERDE HS (OREGON)
STAT LINE (APRIL 14 - APRIL 20)
Hits: 8-for-13 (.615)

RBI: 9
Runs: 6
Walks: 1
The Oregon commit has been swinging the bat well all year long as he's batting .488 with 12 doubles, three triples and four HR's through 25 games. This week was no different for Johns as he went 8-for-13 while picking up four doubles, nine RBI, six runs scored and a walk in Palo Verde's three games. The ProCase West attendee and Future Games alum led Palo Verde's offense as they scored 34 runs with a win over Centennial and a split with Liberty. Johns has established himself as one of the more impactful 2025 bats in the State and continues to provide a ton of production to the Palo Verde lineup.
