Uncommitted 2016s Who Stood Out In Jupiter

By Justin Burgess
Florida Area Scout

To continue highlighting players who stood out last weekend in Jupiter, today we will focus on uncommitted 2016 players. If you had to pick a time to shine at the plate or on the mound, this was the time to do so. If a player had a big day at the plate or showed an impressive performance on the mound, word would spread very rapidly about them.

These four players actually have had at least some degree of buzz surrounding their name throughout the fall, but this is the tournament where performance matters most because of who is watching and the level of competition they are facing.

Jared Cenal, RHP, Tampa Catholic, FL
Cenal stands at 6-foot-5, 185 pounds with a tall, lean and projectable body. He took advantage of being a part of the Mets Scout Team/Scorpions as they were one of the most heavily scouted teams in Jupiter. He sat 87-90 and touched 91 mph and filled up the zone in a game that had dozens of schools and scouts in attendance. Cenal should be receiving a few phone calls from schools with serious interest in the coming weeks.
