Background

Nick Trendler is a 5-foot-10, 180 pound right-handed pitcher from Seneca High School. He made his Prep Baseball Report debut at the Battle on the Border event versus representative teams from New York and New England. I had an opportunity to watch him throw a small bullpen this winter and saw a ton of improvement in the All Out Baseball product.

Scouting Report

The right-hander is stocky and strong, with a calm presence on the mound. In my two initials evaluations on Trendler, it was clear that he needed to improvement on the mound mechanically, specifically his direction. This winter, Trendler has made a ton of improvements and the quality of his fastball has reaped the benefits. He was 79-82 (tops 84 MPH) this summer and is now 82-84 and topping out at 86 miles-per-hour with his best fastball. His stride is straight, his rhythm is much improved, and his fastball has better plane. He will be one to watch this spring.
