MONDAY, APRIL 1ST

Saxon Roberts (2024, Independence) Roberts was phenomenal in his outing against a talented lineup in Ravenwood that has been hitting a lot of good arms. He attacked the strike zone consistently, while getting ahead of hitters with the fastball and putting them away with a firm slider. His fastball was up considerably from two weeks ago and sat 89-90 for his outing, while touching 92 a considerable amount of times throughout the game. Slider clocked in between 78-81 with sharp tilt and depth that got under hitters for multiple swing and misses. The number #1 player in the 2024 class of Tennessee was lights out over the course of 5 innings where he would finish with 6 K’s, albeit with 6 walks that he must continue to cut down on. He should start steadily seeing more professional scouts at his games and will have a decision to make come this summer with the route he wants to take.
