League play is underway in all classification, here is a look at action from this weekend.

Daily Roundup:

Cheyenne Mountain 14 Canon City 2
The Indians Aaron Berkhott (2019) went crazy in the game Saturday vs Canon City.  He went 3 for 5 with a home run, scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 RBI’s to lead the Indians to a victory.  Indians pitcher Everett Dwyer (2017) allowed just 2 runs in 5 innings of work.

Pueblo East 3 Pueblo Central 2
Down 2 to 0 after 4 innings Pueblo East scored 2 in the top of the 6th to tie the game, and with neither team scoring in the 7th they had to go to extra innings, and in the top of the 8th Pueblo East pushed a run across and held on to win 3 to 2.  Pueblo East’s starting pitcher Jeremiah Arellano (2017) went 4 innings allowing 2 earned runs, and then Efren Perez (2018) threw 4 innings of shutout baseball.  At the plate Josh Tellez (2017) went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Chatfield 10 Columbine 7
With the game tied 2 to 2 going into the top of the 4th inning, Chatfield put a 6 spot on the Rebels and went on to win 10 to 7.  Chatfield was led by, Jack Winkler (2017) who went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI’s, and Blake Dickman (2018) who was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and a home run.  For the Rebels, Victor Lara (2018) had a great day at the plate going 3 for 5, scoring 2 runs, and driving in a run.

Rocky Mountain 13 Loveland 7
The Lobos scored in every inning but 2, and 6 runs in the top of the 3rd to win this league contest against Loveland.  Rocky Mountain’s John Sorensen (2017) was 2 for 2 driving in 3 runs, with a HR,  scoring 4 times, and Jadon Uhrich (2018) was 4 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and he scored 2 times.

Ralston Valley 12 Lakewood 1
Going into the top of the 6th inning the score was 2 to 1, but in the top of the 6th and 7th inning Ralston Valley went off scoring 4 and 6 runs in those innings respectively to beat Lakewood 12 to 1.  Luke Leisenring (2018) went 1 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI’s.  Also hitting a home run for Ralston Valley was Brock Downing (2017).

Mountain Range 4 Legacy 1
Scoreless going into the bottom of the 4th inning, Mountain Range put up 2 runs, and then 1 run in each the 5th and 6th inning to beat Legacy in this big conference game Saturday.  The Mustangs were led by Isaac Frampton (2017) who was 1 for 2 with a home run.

Broomfield 4 Horizon 3
The Eagles won this conference game on Saturday 4 to 3, with Matt Turner (2017) doing most of the damage going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s, and the starting pitching of Mitchell Morales (2019) who went 5 innings allowing just 2 earned runs to go with 6 strike outs.
