PBR Spotlight Game: #4 NDCL vs Benedictine

In a game dominated by NDCL’s pitching, the trio of Ryan Falls (NDCL, 2015) Kevin McMahon (NDCL, 2015) and Aidan Mlachak (NDCL, 2015) combined to throw six innings giving up one run, one hit, five walks, and thirteen strikeouts to earn the win in a run-rule shortened game over Benedictine by a score of 13-1.

NDCL (5-1) scored early and often, plating two runs in the top of the first inning courtesy of a two out, two RBI double off the bat of designated hitter Brandon Boazman (NDCL, 2015).

The big inning for NDCL came in the third inning when they added four more runs to the scoreboard making it a 7-0 lead.

It was Boazman again who started the scoring in the inning by ripping another RBI double over the center-fielder’s head. Third-baseman Corbin Walsh (NDCL, 2016) then made his mark in the game by slashing a single up the middle with two outs adding two RBI’s.

Benedictine scored its run in the bottom half of the third inning when starting pitcher Collin Pecoraro (Benedictine, 2015) grounded out to shortstop plating the runner at third.
