Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: LHP Logan Reid

As we wrap up the summer of 2023, we now continue our coverage of the talent we've seen so far this year in Colorado with 'Uncommitted Spotlights' of the top prospects still on the board in the senior class. While there's already over 30 prospects in the class committed to programs already, there remains a slew of high-end talent still available.

These spotlights help paint a picture of the prospect with the help of our TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge systems, that provides objective data that teams use to identify and break down players they believe will fit into their system.

Today, we continue our Top Uncommitted Senior Spotlights with a look at 2024 LHP Logan Reid of Cherokee Trail HS. Reid is the #1 ranked LHP in the Colorado 2024 class and showcases a fastball in the upper 80's with exceptional spin and great feel for a change-up. The southpaw has a repeatable delivery and attacks hitters with his full arsenal of pitches.

6-foot, 170-pound two-way stood out on the mound. 79-82 from a three-quarter arm slot. He showed feel for a good change-up (66-9) and can use it in any count. Good left-handed pitcher to follow in the 24 class.

Hits: LHH. Wide base, slightly open and balanced, hands at armpit height with some rhythm, low leg kick starts the swing. Slightly uphill path, middle approach with average bat speed.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 79.3 MPH. 329' max distance. Flashed power potential, from a pull approach.
Arm: RH. INF-74 mph .Moderate arm stroke coming through a 3/4 slot, with ability to throw from multiple slots.
Defense: Active footwork moving through the ball, hands work with smooth transfer.
Run: 7.35 runner in the 60.
