Blake Rose, 3B, Tates Creek HS, 2014

Blake Rose is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound 3B who hits from the left side.  At multiple PBR events, Rose has shown good lateral movement and soft hands, and while his velocity across the infield  has been recorded at 73 mph, his throws are accurate and he gets rid of the ball quickly.

Rose is a high-energy, gritty type player, and if you ask any coach he has played for they will tell you his leadership on the field is impressive.

Rose recently traveled to Jupiter with Kentucky Baseball Club where he went 4-for-11 with a triple and 5 RBI.  In fact, KBC Coach Kevin Clary came away impressed.

“There is no doubt Blake is a clutch hitter,” Clary said.  “It seemed like he produced every time he came up with runners on base.”

Rose, currently ranked No.75 in the 2014 class, continues to show the ability to make consistent hard contact to all fields with some gap-to-gap pop.  As he did last year, look for Rose to have an impact in the middle of the Tates Creek lineup again this spring.
