Ben Morin, OF, R/R, Madison Central HS, 2015

Morin is a 6-foot, 175-pound OF who incorporates speed as a big part of his game.

At the Top Prospect Games event at Western Kentucky University in June, Morin put his speed on display when he posted a 4.28 home to first time.  He uses his speed well and is aggressive on the base paths.  Morin hits from an open stance and squares his front side with a short stride.  He displays a short path to the baseball with line drive production and shows quick hands that allow him to stay inside the baseball well.  Morin has registered an 85 mph exit velocity off the tee.

Defensively, Morin’s feet are quick and athletic and he plays through the baseball well.  His 82 mph arm strength has some carry from an over-the-top release that keeps throws online.

Look for Morin to once again be a catalyst at the top of the order for the Madison Central offense while using his speed to chase down balls in the gaps for his final season as an Indian.
