The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 7, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2024 SEASON OUTLOOK:

The Broomfield Eagles’ program has been a juggernaut in recent seasons, and they do return plenty of depth in 2024. Coach Gilmore has 4 seasoned seniors (3 committed) who should be able to carry the load offensively. However, the Eagles did lose one of their top performers in Noah Scott who was always a huge threat on the mound, and offensively. 2023 Future Games alumni Ethan Zufall will likely man the top of the rotation for Broomfield this spring, and the junior is already committed to BYU with his impressive fastball into the low 90s recently. Tripp Bemis is another standout junior from this group as he will likely be a pivotal part of this lineup once again. Broomfield is certainly a team to keep a close eye on this spring.
