The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 7, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2024 SEASON OUTLOOK:

The Grandview Wolves come from the 5A Centennial league where they are the defending champions. Coach Henry loves how coachable and hungry this group is, and they do return some players with plenty of varsity experience already. Jax Pfister, Nick Martensen, Ben Crandall, and Justin Dean are all back for 2024, and they combined for over 127 innings as a group last spring. Junior Jax Pfister is a Future Games attendee from this last summer, and is the reigning Pitcher of the Year for the Centennial league as well. Grandview also has some seasoned hitters ready to roll for this spring thanks to Tony Crow and Collin May returning as seniors. The Wolves should be strong up the middle and are loaded with pitching, making them a threat to run deep into the state tournament this season.
